Good Nude Food

The Problem

Good Nude Food Ltd was a new company set-up by Evonne Morrison, selling a new range of healthy food products. The previous website was built in Squarespace and it didn't present the story of the business or it's sought-after products in the best light it could. The Squarespace site didn't have ecommerce functionality and Evonne was wanting expert help in setting up a functioning ecommerce site. It was also crucial the site was live ahead of an exciting appearance on the BBC's Dragon Den. This posed a potential risk with large spikes in traffic anticipated.

The Solution

We went through a vigorous designs process before coming up with a design that suited the Good Nude Food brand. With the upcoming BBC appearance, we considered our ecommerce options before opting to go with Shopify as opposed to its competitors.

Shopify is a platform that has really taken over the online shop market over the past decade and their servers are used to handling a lot of traffic, which we thought would be ideal for the launch. We built the design in their Liquid template language and set about adding in written content with a focus on necessary keywords, imagery, products and researching and installing relevant apps.

The Benefits

In the end, the deadline date for launch was successfully met and the site experienced high volumes of traffic without any downtime or slow periods, this would continue through the initial weeks of the launch with such traction coming from the BBC appearance and work through social media, local press and word of mouth.

One of the great things about Shopify as opposed to the considered competitors is that it makes it very easy for both Evonne in Shetland & her base in Glasgow to communicate, access orders and make changes to the site whenever required. If there's any technical issues we can also hop in and troubleshoot without having an effect on the work they are doing.
